Ref travels the Great Ocean Road, Australia - March 2007

A few days after meeting the Neighbours, Ref jumps in the car, sticks Dr Karl's CD on and hits the road... the Great Ocean Road! Stretching from Geelong to Warrnambool along Victoria's coast, there would be plenty to see to keep Ref occupied.

Here's Ref and his crew near the start of the road. From the left: Claire, Hannah, Emma, Ref, Rich and Katie.

First stop: Split Point lighthouse in Aireys Inlet, as seen in the kids TV show Round the Twist!

Next up: the Twelve Apostles. Ref is somewhat disappointed to find that there are in fact only 8 Apostles, not 12. Red card!

Oh no! Disaster nearly strikes! It's very windy and Ref nearly comes a gutsa as a freak gust sweeps him off his feet and towards the sea...

Luckily Rich grabs him just in time!

Further along the cost is Loch Ard Gorge, named after a ship which ran aground way back in 1878.

Ref stops to take a photo.

Don't let him blow away!

Did you bring your swimmers Ref?!
